STATES MATTER — NOW MORE THAN EVER
Our work is year-round. It requires a thoughtful, sustained effort to become educated, identify priorities, and develop strong relationships with grassroots organizers and national organizations that are on the ground. In 2025 we will continue to work in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire, and we will be working on what many believe will be the first test of our efforts against the new regime: Virginia state-level races for Governor, Lt. Governor, and the House of Delegates. We’ll also work to protect the vote in all our states and to push back against voter suppression bills coming out of Washington.

Write postcards to Virginia voters with Reclaim Our Vote! We are writing to all 920,000 registered Black voters in Virginia, reminding them to vote in the November election. They'll be electing their future Governor, Lt. Governor, and their House of Delegates. Virginia is often a bell-weather state, predicting future results, so motivating these folks to vote in the general election is essential. Make calls with VoteBlue's Take a Stand. Representatives are not showing up at Town Halls, but voters can still make their voices heard. We will be making calls to voters in targeted districts and listening to their concerns. We will then urge them to contact their state and federal representatives. VoteBlue provides the training.
