Sister District Project grew out of the 2016 election and the realization that as long as control of state legislatures was held by Republicans, they would continue to gerrymander districts and suppress votes in order to maintain power and push forward a conservative agenda. Take a closer look at Sister District’s 2020 Strategy, and take note that two of Lean Left’s target states are listed as Blue Flips: Pennsylvania and North Carolina!

Reclaim Our Vote is dedicated to the idea that purging voters is not an option. They contact voters of color in voter suppression states to let them know they may have been purged from the voter roles, and they help them re-register so they can fully participate in our democracy. Lean Left has been working with ROV in a number of states, but we are focused on North Carolina, which looms large in 2020 with opportunities for Democrats to add a Senate seat as well as capture its electoral votes.

Turn PA Blue helped to flip 5 PA State Senate Seats and 14 State House seats in 2018, along with one more PA State Senate seat in 2019!

In 2020, Field Team 6 will be registering Democrats in states where increased numbers can make the most impact. They offer state-specific training and on-the-ground registration events to help with that effort. Lean Left Vermont worked with FT6 in Maine in 2019 and will be working closely with them again in 2020, in both Maine and Pennsylvania.
