Center for Common Ground is hosting former North Carolina Supreme Court Justice and U.S. Senate Candidate Cheri Beasley as part of an ongoing series "Road to the Midterms: Looking Forward and Federal."
Cheri Beasley will talk about her work engaging Black voters on the ground as well as her experience as the first Black woman to serve as Chief Justice in North Carolina. She is an attorney and jurist who became the first African American woman to serve as chief justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court from 2019 to 2020, a court on which she has previously served as an Associate Justice since 2012.
